Why the deep need to be known

At least by someone –

Content, pleased, fulfilled

That someone hears.

And in that giving a child appears

Out of the realm of God

As if a spark of creation

Gifted to you both in tandem at once.

And from then on all is re-invented.

The algorithm of love is

One plus one = many

As the union of marriage unites efforts,

Affirms connection to a mutual benefit

Results in the experience of a lifetime -

Unconditional love

A state of mind experienced by parents -

Unlike any other aspect of life.

Then the inevitable - one flies away

And the one left behind wonders

What the departed would advise

Given an important situation.

And you hear back, sometimes in the original voice

The view you needed to hear

To make the right choice.
