THE TECH WARS

They pass by the hundreds

Each face its own disposition

The infinite array of attitudes

Prone to generalities –

Happy, sad, emotive, withdrawn, friendly, aloof –

But the closer focus yields gradations –

Mixes of character

Combined with body structure and movement

Until each is an identifiable human

         Imagine A.I. with capabilities

         Of reading, storing, learning, integrating

         All aspects of each person

         Categorizing their exploits

         Analyzing the results

With reference to face and body movements

         Predicting the criminal

         Predicting the future mother

Or business success or artistic merit –

         Perhaps scholars of unique abilities

         Can be foreseen

Oh the governments would love it –

Data, privately supplied –

No government intrusion needed.

Objectionables could be weeded out early –

Justifying the data use for “safety” reasons.

         A government that doesn’t use A.I.

Will have it used against them –

And the survival goes to the winner

         Of the tech wars.

Babies today

Identifiable attitudes tomorrow

Concordant behavior predictable –

The ideal government tool                                              231202.1
