THERE IS NO INVISIBLE FORCE

No, children, there is no invisible force

That lurks, waiting to take you

Down some evil route -

There is no devil

There is nothing there to fear -

Seek your best self

With no hesitation or false hopes

Pursue a dignified life

With a clear sense of purpose

Enjoy your gifts with patience

Let them unfold at their own pace,

Children have their own unique place

In the process of spiritual elevation

Not restricted by a particular role

Or sequestered in an imagined heaven

Just subject to the same rules

As all of us - organic human souls.

So we watch an invasion

As we unearth the bodies

Of the supposed hostages

Whose de-composed forms

Lie in mute testimony to the evil in some men

Not to be allocated

To some "devil" from the bible

Or equivalent from the other tome -

Story, myth, dream, or scheme.

As men want things

They purpose all possible means

Easy to ascribe it to forces unseen

But it is clearly visible

In the transparent eyes of greed

Which protrude, ominously, from within
