A new day at the shore,

A shared dance,

A laugh & a glow of soft light around her

While I absorb yet another gift

Dropped on me from the cloudless sky.

Night in the city.

Soft, cool ocean breeze.

A moon that gazes over us

Nodding its approval

At the will & temerity

Of these fragile humans

On their way to eternity.

Yet amused by the constant changes -

Society whirs on ahead.

The dancers leap & spin & smile knowingly -

These leaps only last a short while

And the floor eventually prevails

Yet, on they leap, into each other's arms.
