Here fully absorbed

In the content of a fruitful life

Watching the process unfold

As though both actor & audience

Neither out of body

Each whole & distinct

Seeing the repercussions

As years go by

Allowing the others

Abundant space to work & play

Here in the middle of the stream-

Land whoosing by at furious pace

I seem still & calm,

As though it is just the scenery passing

Ahead the river bends

Which way or how many twist & turns

Can't be seen-

Just vague outlines of the future

Hope merges with faith,

At some point down the way

Which can't be fully understood yet

As the puzzle unfolds

Windows onto the world

We bend into the night,

Floating down stream

Unable to slow the pace

Of the passing earth scenes

Leaving us with a pleasant shine

As the days unwind

Some how leading to the great sea

There to mix with the spirits

That come from the many streams unseen
