Of the author

And each reader

In a joint voyage

Into the void of the imagination

In which there are no limits

By definition.

That is fiction

And it allows the transfer

Of one conscious entity

To another through words

Which create images

Which generate feelings

Which have infinite possibilities

Of complex interactions with others

Who may, or may not, be integral to the story.

And here we are

In the era of rap

In which one image is enough

To carry a million clicks -

Each one shallow,

Like a google hit.

One to one

Across the century,

The writer who transposes

His consciousness onto others

Via words is one of our tools

To expand our personal awareness.

Seeing how others may respond

Through the transfer of experience

From the author to the reader -

And from there to the reader's children.
