Don’t destroy anything

Whatever provocation

Same result

It gets another look

Another consideration

            The world happy and serene –

            From this view.

            Let another person or media shape it –

            Soon the outlook changes.

            After immersion

            Climb atop a huge boulder

            Survey your world

            See the beauty

            It is there

Abandon the influences

That don’t augment your mental state.

Stay within for your contentment.

Share that viewpoint with others

Aware that some do not hear it.

Yet resolute in acceptance of happiness

Wherever and in whomever it appears.

            Gone to the park again

            Hike, short buckets, daily chores

            Family to share life

            Absent one

            But still leaves a family

            And they are young and full of life

            And kind of like me occasionally

            Leaving a great smile

            Imprinted on my memory

            And with these the days roll forward
