Today is the day of king tides
Along the San Francisco Bay.
They rise above flood stage
Pulled by the mammoth full moon
Exerting her influence
From 240,000 miles away.
As many know
Love is in the mind
Not in the miles.
And up here
On the western ridge
Of the peninsula
Jutting out into the bay
There to absorb the vibrations
To observe the penetrations
Of the great Pacific
As it enters the Golden Gate.
The perfection of topography
With deep channels of cold ocean sea
And vast bays extending 100 miles or more
And on the peak of the peninsula
Above & observing 360° of beauty & plenty
The coastal Miwok chief walked
Surveying all that God had wrought
And given to the Miwok to protect.
And this chief
And hundreds more
Watched the world pass
And their people prosper
With the prolific nature of earth
When all forces work together.
And now, 6 million pilgrims
Spread out across the region
